Christmas..... Again!
The kids received a nice surprise in the mail yesterday... more Christmas presents!
Here are the photos so the wonderful senders can see them open their gifts.
Here is Elaina completely freaking out when she saw what was inside!
Ben's first response was of course, "Is it cars?"
He is very happy with his "guy."
(Please ignore the combination of dinner and "the baking powder incident" on his shirt.)
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Amazing!
It is amazing what being home in a family can do for a child!
Here is 9 year old Katie when her family first got her out of the orphanage (weight 10 lbs, 9 oz):
And here she is after two months of being home and loved (weight 19 lbs, 6.5 oz):
Go here to see how much Katie has grown.
Go here to follow her story on her mommy's very inspiring blog.

Overheard...
Ok, here is the warning for those that are easily grossed out:
Do not read on if you find sick kids disgusting. :)
Ben has had a cold and a runny nose for a couple of days now. Yesterday morning I noticed that it looked like he had just swallowed some drainage that decided to run the wrong direction. He immediately got a grossed out look on his face and said, "What's in my mouth?"
I asked him if it was snot and if it was gross. He said yes to both.
After a couple of minutes he looked at me and said, "I need to wash my mouth." Then, he ran off to find a washcloth which he spent the next hour using to wipe his mouth out.

Overheard...
The girls have been taking turns coming to my midwife appointments with me. They get to put the gel on the doppler and listen to the baby's heartbeat and help to measure how big the baby has grown.
Abby came with me to the last appointment and when she found the heartbeat I commented to her that it sounds like a horse galloping.
We got out to the car after our appointment and when she climbed in Brett asked her how it went. She told him, "Moriah is riding a horse in mommy's tummy."
